I am an associate professor at the University of Rochester Department of Political Science.
I study migration, conflict, and ethnic politics. I've written books and articles about conflicts over migration and ethnic territorial autonomy, public support for war, and war costs. My most recent book, forthcoming from Oxford, is titled Strangers and Settlers: Migration politics in a local's world. The introductory chapter is available here (pdf).
